I saw an explorer on TV cut up a plastic bottle to make lashing or "survival rope", as when cut into thin strips it proved to be an incredibly strong plastic cord, that is also self tightening as the plastic retracts when met with heat from a lighter or flame. He used a knife, but his cord was uneven which could prove awkward and weaker. So I developed this pocket-sized tool which can be handheld, wedged between two rocks or mounted to a tree, which will also hold your bottle. Leaving your hands just to pull the cord through one of the 6 notches which will ensure an you the plastic cord cut will be even. With 3 different cord thicknesses and a design that is easy setup and clean, it utilises standard Stanley blades and has a holder for up to 20 extra blades.
